Happy New Year!!!

Official!! I AM MOVING!!

It is very exciting...I have handed in my notice to my landlord...have a read...

Sue,

I hope you have had a nice Xmas and are looking forward to the New year. (I honestly do not care, but I thought I would ease her into the email)

2011 has already thrown up a few surprises, my company is relocating to Brighton (Which is true) and so is my job (Which is not true...) (this was only finalised the week before Xmas, so I have had some time to think about it) – which is a bit annoying as I love living in London (yep, this is true - but not in my flat, for many reasons, 1) Neighbours, 2) No insulation at all - so it is an Icebox, 3) The area - I feel I am always going to get mugged, 4) I am a snob and catford is a hole, 5) It is expensive for what it is...a glorified wet room. 6) It is damp, cold, bits are broken, the doors don't work properly and I am pretty sure that 2B does not exist as a separate dwelling. – but in the current economic climate I fear I have to follow the job to Brighton.

So I would like to give you my period of 2 month notice for the flat – my aim would be to move out by the 1st March 2011. (If not sooner...pleaaaaaase be sooner)

I am at a loss of what to do with the furniture (I am not really, but ideally you'll buy it off me and save me the problem of trying to get rid of it) (as the house I am moving into is already furnished) – so I would like to offer you first refusal on items such (which were all bought new from Ikea) as  the sofa bed/stools (for the breakfast bar)/coffee table (otherwise I am going to get a house clearance company in to shift them)…I was aiming to leave the blinds for the kitchen and bathroom windows (if you would like them?) and the curtain pole up over the double doors onto the roof. (so you take any of my deposit I will be VERY annoyed, considering no one had cleaned the place before I moved in)

I am more than happy to help with showing prospective people around the flat, should you need me to – and the flat is always in a tidy state, and I am happy for you to show people round as well (As long as they're not dodge and as long as they do not nick my stuff).

Thank you very much for being such an understanding landlord (understanding in the sense that I have not seen or heard from you in 8 months), and I wish you all the best for 2011.

New Year...What joys will it bring...

I fully intend to be like this...

But what are my plans for 2011?
new house/job./other half...ummmmmmmmmmmmm lose 4kg and get fitter, but to be honest this is all highly unlikely...
Hearos Ultimate Softness, 20-Pair Foam (Pack of 2)

ear plugs - hilarious!! as you maybe aware from previous posts, I have been having a few issues with my neighbours. Mainly the fact that they are VERY loud, and have not seemed to realise that if you turn the music down, you do not have to shout to be heard (little things like that...), so I went out and bought some earplugs - not expecting too much from them...(as i have stuck numerous things in my ear to keep out Capital FM and Magic at 3am...tissue paper, pillows all the way to semi-suffocating myself with sleeping bag + pillow combination - but all to no avail, as Magic would always creep through)...so last night, yawn yawn - in bed at 10, read my book and then drifted off into a nice sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzz

12.30am Bang, bang...then...boom boom boom boom as the bass went...instead of the usual for f***sake...I rolled over, put my new ear plugs in and off I went back to sleep - they are awesome, (slightly too good as I slept through my alarm)...Happy days :)

Only 2 months before I move out...argh, I cannot wait - starting to write to do lists...what I need to take, bin, charity shop or sell...very exciting...

Xmas time...

Moleskine Weekly Notebook 12 Months Soft Black Cover Pocket

Whoop! my new diary has arrived :) epic - its officially a new year!

Well, people, Christmas is over for another year...and what did you all get?
I received a number of interesting presents - but basically i have a coffee and book issue - but also I have an body odour problem, which is nice...sadly i did not get my espresso machine i wanted :( but hey hoe - i will get one when I move...a new house present to myself...

Granny came through again with some classic presents - a saucepan, (which was not wrapped - in fact, she came downstairs on Xmas morning with a carrier bag and said, "here is your present, I haven't wrapped it" - evidently as i peaked into the bag to see a box containing a pasta pan. Granny seems deflated when she knew i would be moving house, but you can take a good quality saucepan :) I like it...she also got me the entire work of Colin Dexter and Inspector Morse, so that should be a good read and keep me reading well into the new year.

what else? what else? The new addition to the family...Baby Ryan shat his way through lunch, and cried his way through the Xmas Pud...hilarious, a great nephew!...am I jealous?...I see my sister/granny/mum spending my inheritance on this little 8lb pink bag of crap and screams...but bless he is a cutie...
